The Hard Sell: Cute, smallish lower-unit space in a '30s house with some very nabe-loyal landlords. Bold and underlined: studio is located in "a safe neighborhood of owner-occupants like ourselves, artists, and long-time renters." We think they doth protest a bit too much?

Where: Lower Mission
How much: $1995
The Hard Sell: 717 Treat Street at 20th. "Very quiet and bright" unit at 717 Treat Street at 20th. Treat Street, you say? The header screams: "IN SAFE, CONVENIENT LOCATION." Hmm. No laundry on site, but there's a spot a block away -- if you dare. No photo -- hmm, wonder why?
