The Latest on the Hibernia Bank and More

Welcome back to another showing of Curbed SF's construction watch for readers, by readers. You ask, we pass. Got an answer to one of these queries? To the comments! Or the tipline! Wondering about some urban carnage? Let us know.

TENDERLOIN: What's up with the Hibernia Bank building? Back in October, it was revealed that Dolmen Property Group had purchased the building— now a fence has gone up around the dilapidated building's perimeter, and SF Citizen caught it getting a much-needed power wash yesterday. Sprucing up for new tenants? Or maybe its once-a-decade cleaning?

SOMA: A reader sent us this Craigslist ad he spotted for a lease-to-own Cubix studio. We'd previously mentioned that the diminutive condos had taken that route to move a few more units, and now here's pudding proof. Starting: $995/month. Hey, could be worse.

CIVIC CENTER: And in more shutterings: This happened a month or two ago, but the cafe in the lower level of the Main Library has closed. Word on the street is the owner wanted to retire. A request for proposal has been put out for a new tenant.
