San Jose Airport Opens Club Lounge to Public

Passengers can buy themselves into a club lounge starting this week

Airport passengers flying through the San Jose airport have a new option when it comes to long layovers or delayed flights.

A new VIP lounge will open Jan. 10 to anyone will to pay $35.

Inside the lounge you will find all the amenties of a airline club lounge, including free alcohol and shower facilities. 

 "We built The Club at SJC in response to customer demand and to enhance the excellent experience passengers tell us they are currently enjoying. It is an appropriate investment for Mineta San José International Airport, the international gateway for Silicon Valley,” said Director of Aviation Bill Sherry.

You can eat their free snacks and drinks or bring in food from any of the restaurants at the airports. Airline lounges do not allow outside food.

The company, Airport Lounge Development, also has similar VIP lounges in Dallas, Las Vegas and Raleigh Durham.

Here's what you get for your $35 fee.

The club is location on the third level in the international area across from Gate 15.
