That's Rather Hideous: Drywall Destructoporn at 4252 22nd Street

That's Rather Hideous is the report filed by Curbed SF's own interior design vice squad. Spot an offender? File a complaint— or a compliment. Witness protection guaranteed. Note: As we don't employ a company sketch artist, digital photos are always appreciated.

All's well and good from the outside at 4252 22nd Street: the cute if not super-classy purple paint job looks relatively recent and, well, at least it has all its windows? But on the inside, this 10 (!) bedroom, 4 bathroom three-story Victorian is in serious need of... everything, it seems. A dusting? Equipment removal? Some sod in that backyard? Oh, and yeah, maybe floors? Do note the close-up drywall shots -- always enticing. As is(n't) the listing: "Contractor special/investor sweat equity... Owners started work, needs your finish. City permits and plans in the works." For nearly 3,000 square feet, be prepared to pony up $1,495,000. Be nice and maybe they'll throw in a can of spackle (or twelve).
