A rainy Saturday is breaking away for a mostly sunny Sunday, so if you put off that holiday shopping because of the weather, grab a coat and your credit card and get cracking.
The Bay Area is still going to be on the cool side with highs only making it into the mid-50s. That makes it a perfect day to show off the scarf you got for Christmas last year.
Tonight's forecast is clear, but that will allow the cold to roll in with some patchy frost in the inland valleys. Lows in the low 30s to lower 40s with winds from the north.

Tahoe is still basking in the glow of several feet of snow last week.
The snowfall for ski resorts went beyond epic levels and hit historic by the Thanksgiving holiday. Squaw Valley reports eight feet of snow at the base and 12 feet in high country and that is the most snow it has ever seen in November. Closer to the lake in Heavenly they are celebrating "Viva la Nina" and credit the la Nina weather system for dumping huge amounts of snow for an early ski season. The slopes got yet another 4-8 inches of snow overnight Saturday making yet another "powder" day for skiers.
The thousands of people who made the snowy trek to the Sierra should have a crowded but clear ride home Sunday.
