Video may have killed the radio star but the Redbox clearly killed the Blockbuster.
Now the DVD kiosk that slayed the mighty video giant is dealing with a 300 pound gorilla that could make the convenience of $1 DVD rentals from your local supermarket obsolete.
Users would pay a monthly fee to pstream the service and it may be available on mobile platforms such as iOS and Android.
But Redbox is not trying to go it alone. The company is rumored to be looking to partner with the like of Walmart or Amazon, who is planning to launch a streaming service of its own soon.
