eBook Readers Read More

The one thing Apple and Amazon have managed to do together -- while the two companies try to out cute each other with eBook with ads -- is get people to read more.

A marketing company found 40 percent of eBook owners read more than people who own the real thing.

The study looked at 1,200 eBook readers and it didn't discriminate. Owners of Kindles, iPads and Sony's readers were included.

Fifty-five percent of those surveyed said they read the same amount as when they didn't own an eReader and 2 percent said they actually read less.

To be fair the study was funded by Sony, which has a huge interest in eBook readers.
