The dominoes started falling last year when GM pulled out of the deal. Later, Toyota announced it would stop production all together.
The plant's closing eliminates 4,700 jobs with a ripple effect of many more thousands beyond that.
Each employee is being escorted out of the facility one by one. The sad parade of exits started last week and went into an around the clock operation Wednesday.

Bars in the area are also opening around the clock to host good-bye parties as workers drowned their sorrows together.
The future of the 370-acre facility is unclear.
