Friday's storm brought several inches of rain to the North Bay. The rain totals were as high as eight inches in some of the mountain areas.
That heavy rain. along with strong winds brought people like Steve Sargeant to a Mill Valley hardware store.
“It’s scary up there cause we are way up there on the hillside," Sargeant said. "There’s been floods up there slides it get pretty bad.”
Bad is how it started out for commuters at the Bay Bridge toll plaza.
North Bay Damage Report
A power outage threw the bridge into darkness for two hours. There were no metering lights for commuters.
And it was a rough ride on the Richmond/San Rafael bridge. The north bay got the brunt of this storm.
There was flooding on Highway 1 in Rohnert Park near Valley Ford.
Cars had no where to go but into flooding water. People in Marin County are use to the heavy rain and wind when it comes.
But they are not use to closing schools because of a lack of power.
Students who attend Wade Thomas Elementary in San Anselmo got to stay home today because of a power outage.
"It was two days in a row pretty disruptive. I think it’s the same pole. No one will admit it they are reconnecting wires once again," Chris Livermore said.
The rain continued in the North Bay through Friday evening. Showers are forecast for Saturday with yet another strong storm system forecast to his Sunday morning.
