Thousands of customers across Northern California were without power for at least a portion of a chilly Sunday.
PG&E's map showed only a handful of outages in the Bay Area. Most of the outages were in the Sierra which got hit with blizzard like conditions this weekend. PG&E officials reported 23,000 customers without power in Nevada, Placer, El Dorado counties, as well as in parts of Sierra County.
There were 3,200 customers without power in Alpine, Amador, Calaveras and San Joaquin counties.
PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said there were multiple spans of wires down in the foothill areas and advised customers to report them immediately and take extra precautions to stay away from them.
