Silicon Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's & The North Bay Evacuations

In wake of the fires devastating the North Bay, the Alzheimer's Association is tracking care facility relocations throughout the affected areas. So far, 20 facilities have reported relocation. They have established a 24/7 helpline to assist in locating loved ones who have been evacuated. The number is 800-272-3900. Additionally, a statement has been issued regarding wandering, which is common amongst those with Alzheimer's upon being removed from their everyday environment. Click here to view.

The Walk to End Alzehimer's returns to the Silicon Valley on Saturday, October 14! The Walk, which is the world's largest Alzheimer's support & awareness event and takes place in over 600 communities nationwide, strives to raise funds for care and research.

Organized by the Alzheimer's Association, the funds raised from these walks across the country will go to provide care and support for those in need, drive research into treatment, prevention, and ultimately, a cure, and help speak up for individuals affected by Alzheimer's through pushing for legislation and federal funding.
