Bike Hater Becomes Two-Wheel Hero

For the 34 miles of bike lanes that should get striped all across the city after an expected June approval of the city's bike plan, SF Weekly extends thanks to the guy who delayed the lanes for years: blogger and bike-hater Rob Anderson.

Because of the delay, San Francisco was forced to devote more staff, more time, and more outreach, creating a much more comprehensive plan than they ever would have had they not been stopped in their tracks.

"San Francisco could become one of America's most bike-friendly cities. For this I hope he always feels the wind at his back, and that his roads go downhill."
