California Highway Named After Former President Barack Obama

The California legislature is the first in the country to name a freeway after former President Barack Obama. The proposal passed on Tuesday and now goes to the governor for his signature. Assuming Gov. Brown signs it, part of the 134 freeway in Los Angeles county will now be called the President Barack H. Obama Freeway. Obama drove this road to travel from Pasadena to Occidental College where he attended during his freshman and sophomore years of college.
