Debate Over Cell Towers in Hillsborough

A contractor for Verizon intended to install 13 wireless antenna nodes in Hillsborough’s right of way. Residents are concerned about health effects to the legal precedent it may set. Last September, Hillsborough placed a moratorium on the processing of all wireless communications facilities to buy time and study the issues of wireless needs and the community concerns. The contractor filed a lawsuit seeking a court order to make the town approve the towers. Arturo Santiago reports.
