Amazon's Android App Store Promises Apps Before the Device

Amazon revealed more details about its Android app store yet to hit the market.

The giant digital retailer said its Android store would allow users to load up their devices with apps even before they get their hands on the actual gadget and that interested developers will be able to have their apps show up on listings across Amazon's site.

As for purchasing apps before getting the device, All Things D explains that the concept is simple. Users who buy an Android-powered phone online for example can then immediately being purchasing apps for the phone.

Once the phone arrives the apps will be synched from the user's cloud account to the new device.

There is still no timetable on when the app will launch but Amazon is promising that it will come soon.
