Antioch Talks Bike Safety Project

Plans are in place to make roads safer for bicyclists in Antioch. That goal, according to the East Bay Times, is to make sure cyclists can safely access the new BART station set to open in the spring. The BART extension will link Pittsburg-Bay Point to Antioch along Highway 4’s median. Right now the bike route runs between several lanes of traffic. Leaders with the Contra Costa Transportation Authority tell the newspaper they are not comfortable with the current configuration.
