Avalanche After Major Sierra Snow

With dismal amounts of snow this season it only took 5 feet of fresh snow over the course of this week to contribute to an avalanche just South of Alpine Meadows at Stanford Rock. A group of 3 was in extremely rugged terrain climbing uphill when the avalanche occurred. 1 Skier was critically injured. The latest On the location and avalanche danger this Weekend.
