Ayesha Curry Launches Pop-Up Store in Oakland

It was a family affair as Ayesha Curry debuted her new line of cookware in Jack London Square in San Francisco. Shoppers also got a surprise as her husband Steph Curry made an appearance to support his wife. Scott Budman reports.

A store opening turned into a celebrity and family affair in Oakland as Ayesha Curry launched her pop-up store which drew a large crowd of shoppers Friday.

Ayesha’s debuted her new line of cookware "Kitchenware" at Jack London Square where she hopes to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

"No matter where you come from, or what’s been given to you, doors will open, it’s up to you to walk through them," Ayesha said. 

Shoppers also got a surprise visit from Golden State Warrior superstar Stephen Curry who came to show his wife support at her opening.

"Everything you see in the store has her DNA on it," Stephen said. "Obviously I’m super proud and hopefully people will come out and see what she’s cooking, no pun intended."

The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday and her store will be open for one month although those who work at Jack London Square hope she can stay a bit longer.
