Fremont police arrested the father of a 10-month-old baby Monday after officers found the child crying and sweating profusely inside a locked car.
The vehicle was parked outside the Vitamin Shop, in the 43000-block of Christy Street.
As police were preparing to force their way into the vehicle, the baby’s father showed up. The 35-year-old man was arrested for child endangerment.
The baby was cleared by paramedics and released to its mother.
The high temperature in Fremont was 97 degrees on Monday.
