Bakery Releases Trademark of ‘Mochi Muffin'

An East Bay bakery is in hot water with it’s community over the name of one of its items. The owners of Third Culture Bakery in Berkeley say they’re dropping its trademark name of “Mochi Muffin” after intense backlash. One of the owners created the popular pastry back in 2018 and soon after trademarked the name.
