Basketball Court Named After Late SF Mayor Ed Lee

A special dedication was held Friday in the name of late San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. The basketball court at the Salvation Army Chinatown Community Center is now named after Lee. The late mayor was a lifelong supporter of the Salvation Army. He married his wife at the Chinatown center in 1980. Leaders say that was just the beginning of his commitment to the Salvation Army. He was also a big Golden State Warriors fan. The team partnered with the Salvation Army, the Good Tidings Foundation, as well as PG&E to refurbish the court and gymnasium.
