Holiday Weekend Forecast

After Saturday’s rain and Sierra snow, the Bay Area and Northern California will begin drying out today thanks to increasing northwesterly winds. Look for a lingering shower or two near the East Bay and South Bay hills, but by lunchtime and beyond, drying/gusty winds will continue clearing out our skies and keeping temps a bit on the cool side, mainly 60s to lower 70s even with the sunshine. Memorial Day Monday looks dry, though plan on increasing clouds during the day. By night we’ll see a chance for more rain for parts of the North Bay, spreading southward around the rest of the Bay Area for Tuesday morning’s commute. The first days of June look to remain unsettled and cool thanks to a jet stream pattern that encourages cooler systems dropping down the coast bringing chances of showers and cooler than average temperatures midweek and perhaps even next weekend as well. – Rob Mayeda
