Ben Lomond Residents Hold Vigil for Wild Turkey Death

People who live in Ben Lomond are outraged after someone drove through a group of wild turkeys, killing several birds. The turkeys were part of a group of 40 or so that residents say typically strut through their neighborhood. On Saturday, someone in a pickup truck plowed through the flock. Neighbors believe up to 10 were struck and at least three were killed. Neighbors held a vigil because they say the birds are like mascots. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says it located the man who ran down the turkeys and that he admitted to doing it, but not intentionally. It’s still possible he’ll face misdemeanor charges.
