6-Year-Old Girl Struck by Vehicle in East San Jose

The child is in the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

A six-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in East San Jose, according to police.

San Jose police said the collision happened at around 1:17 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Thorndale Court.

The victim had run out from behind a motor home when she was hit by the right fender of the vehicle, police said. She was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. She was not injured.

Alcohol or drugs do not seem to be involved, police said.
