Climate in Crisis: Wildfire Preparations

Our Climate in Crisis means we all need to be prepared year round for the possibility of a quick moving wildfire. While the weather is calm now it’s a good time to create defensible space around your home to make a fire break if one was to approach. Create a family plan of where you would go and get printed maps of how to get there. Pack 3 days of clothes, food, and medication for each family member and keep it near the door. Be prepared for power outages that could last days and have a way to get information whether you have to evacuate or will be without power.
