Cool & Breezy Sunday

A cold trough of low pressure will toss mostly chilly dry air our way, with a few areas of showers still possible especially near the coastal mountains at times into Sunday. A small area of low pressure within this flow may provide just enough of a boost to power up some showers early in the day before skies clear into the afternoon. Overall Sunday s weather will look much like Saturday s with partly cloudy skies, cool northwesterly winds and highs only in the low to mid 50s. Any remaining isolated showers should subside by late afternoon as we see some chilly 30s in wind-protected valleys into Monday morning.High pressure will build back across the West Coast starting Tuesday, with a brief increase in northerly winds possible approaching midweek then easing off for the second half of the week. Look for temperatures to climb to above average levels by Thursday and Friday with most inland locations in the 60s and possibly a few spots nearing 70.Enjoy your Sunday!Rob Mayeda
