Need a scary-good cocktail for the Halloween season? Then try this take on a summertime favorite; a blood orange sangria.

For this, you’ll need your favorite port wine, pomegranate juice, cinnamon (stick and powder), ice, a margarita shaker and, of course, a blood orange.

To begin, halve your blood orange and place it into a glass. You can also add some chopped pomegranate for some extra fruitiness.

Next, add your ice and a bit of cinnamon to your margarita shaker.

To bring out the winter elements of the cocktail, give a healthy pour of your port wine into the margarita shaker. Follow that up with some pomegranate juice and give the drink a good shake.

Once mixed, pour the cocktail into your glass, garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy.

If you’re looking to really get into the spirit of winter, pair your blood orange sangria with a bit of chocolate, and relish the season.

For a spooky effect, you can use dry ice to create a misty pour. Be careful, though, because dry ice can burn you if touched. So remember to use a straw.
