One person was rescued after a vehicle drove off a cliff Friday morning at Devil's Slide in San Mateo County, the California Highway Patrol said.
One lane of Highway 1 in the area was shut down for several hours while emergency crews responded to the incident.
The diver suffered moderate injuries and is expected to survive, according to the CHP.
The scene was cleared by 2 p.m.
