Driver in Stolen U-Haul Crashes, Flips in Oakland

A driver lost control of a reportedly stolen U-Haul pick-up truck after speeding, flipping over, and hitting three cars and a pole, Thursday morning.

The crash occurred just before 6 a.m. at 14th Avenue and East 30th Street, near Highland Hospital in Oakland.

The driver was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

All other injuries are unknown.

PG&E and a tow truck were called to the scene.

Oakland police said the truck was stolen out of Vallejo on Wednesday.
