3.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Near Gilroy

A preliminary 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck just south of Gilroy early Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit just before 3 a.m. about 9 miles south of Gilroy, near San Juan Batista, the USGS said.

No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
