M2.8 Earthquake Rumbles Near El Cerrito: USGS

A preliminary 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck Friday morning in the East Bay, near El Cerrito, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, centered about within a mile of El Cerrito, shook at 9:44 a.m., the USGS said.

No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
