Firefighters Visit School for Black History Month Program

Firefighters rushed to an Emeryville school on Tuesday, not to put out flames, but to light a spark. For the past few years, members of Alameda County’s Fire Department have joined students at Anna Yates Elementary for a three-alarm history lesson. It incorporates firefighting history, Black history, and living history from the first African-American woman hired by Alameda County.
