Interstate 580 in Oakland Reopens Following Flooding

Interstate 580 in Oakland is completely open following flooding that started Thursday night and shut down both sides of the highway Friday morning, a Caltrans spokesperson said.

All lanes in both directions were open again as of about 11:30 a.m. between 35th Avenue and High Street, Caltrans spokesperson Janis Mara said.

The flooding started Thursday night on the westbound side, California Highway Patrol Officer Adib Zeid said.
