San Ramon police asked residents to shelter in place for several hours Tuesday afternoon while officers searched for a murder suspect.
In addition, students at Gale Ranch Middle School were placed on lockdown while police searched the area for Reynaldo John Sanchez. The 22-year-old Sanchez was wanted for murder out of Florida, according to police.
Police said Sanchez ran from officers in the area of Bollinger Canyon Road, between Briar Oaks and N. Monarch Drive. But police managed to locate Sanchez thanks to a tip from a community member.
No other information was immediately available.
