Emergency Crews Rescue Climber Who Fell Down a Cliff at Mt. Diablo State Park

A climber was rescued after falling down a cliff Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Diablo State Park.

At 12:20 p.m., the San Ramon Valley Fire Department received a report of someone who fell down a cliff. Emergency crews from San Ramon Valley Fire and Cal Fire responded to the rescue.

A helicopter helped in the rescue to transport the patient to an ambulance helicopter waiting at a nearby hilltop. The climber was flown to a local hospital.

No other information was immediately available.
