Facebook Friends: Beware the 151

You've been warned

Facebook gets hit with scams and phish attempts that aren't always reported but the latest one has hit a lot of people so we're helping to keep it from going any further.

Users are calling it 151.

What happens is Facebook loyals get a weird message from a friend that simply says 151.im.

DO NOT FOLLOW THE 151.im LINK.

When the victim thinks it's some sort of Internet link and you follows it, they may be asked to log back into Facebook.  That's where the scam comes into play. Cutting and pasting the "link" into a browser address bar will also bring trouble.

Another scam, called 121.im is just getting started, our friends at TechCrunch say.

The team at Facebook says they're aware of the problem and are fighting it.
