Freezing Start to Sunday

With clearing skies and dewpoint temperatures in the mid 20s to lower 30s, all the signs are there for a very chilly night in the Bay Area. We’ll likely see mid 20s in the colder spots Sunday morning (North Bay valleys, East Bay/Tri-Valley into Solano County and areas near San Jose southward. Freeze warnings will expire around 8am as the Sun slowly thaws us out through the day. Highs will be quite cool as well with mainly 40s to low 50s to wrap up the weekend. Be prepared for another frosty, freezing night heading into Monday morning before temps slowly climb a few degrees approaching midweek. Dry weather is expected to continue into next weekend when we may be hosting the NFC Championship game at Candlestick at noon next Sunday the 20th (provided the Seahawks beat the Falcons). Hope you enjoy your Sunday – Rob Mayeda
