Governor Orders Release of Thousands of Prisoners Amid COVID-19 Outbreaks

Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the release of up to 8,000 prisoners before the end of August in an effort to deal with what some call a “catastrophic” COVID-19 outbreak at San Quentin and other California prisons. Christie Smith reports.
