Keep Your Camera Handy, Low Snow Levels In Bay Area

A cold winter storm is bringing scattered showers to the Bay Area Thursday morning. Showers are expected to become more steady and widespread Thursday afternoon into the evening with snow levels falling to around 1000 ft. Thursday night. Snow is expected to fall over the East Bay Hills and the Santa Cruz Mountains above 1000 feet and accumulations as low as 500 feet are possible. Depending on when the storm moves out, if precipitation lingers late Friday Night into early Saturday, temperatures will be cold enough for snow flurries or wet snow flakes near sea level.
