When the earth moved during Sunday's Napa earthquake, scores of noise-sensitive pets took off from their comfortable digs. That included "Chance," a 1-year-old cattle dog mix, who bolted from his home at 3:20 a.m., jumping out the living room door, popping out a screen on his way out.
That set Chance's owner, Casey Myers, 31, and her boyfriend into a worried frenzy.
After Myers screamed then hugged her boyfriend, she immediately started looking for Chance, who typically sleeps by her bed. [[272470901, R]]
But he wasn't there. And she had taken his tags off because they jingle at night. She and her boyfriend hopped in the car to look for their beloved pet.

So she posted Chance's picture on Facebook and posted about 400 flyers about town. She was one of many to advertise their lost post on the Missing Pets of Napa Quake Facebook page.
Then, on Thursday, she got a call from Napa Police Officer Rosa Calderon: "We think we have Chance."
Myers drove to Crosswalk Church, and indeed, Chance was there, sitting – hungry but OK – in the back of a truck.
"I opened the door," Myers said, "and Chance jumped out. I was overwhelmed. I just started bawling."
