PG&E reported tens of thousands of power outages in the Bay Area due to inclement weather Thursday morning.
In San Francisco, at its peak, more than 100,000 customers are without power due to a blown substation at the downtown Civic Center location. By about 6:45 p.m., the number had been reduced to about 4,200.
Strong winds are bringing down trees, making things downright dangerous for drivers in some cases. Today in the Bay’s Bob Redell reports from Pinol where a downed tree ended up being a close call for one truck driver.
