Nextdoor Leads to Arrest in San Mateo

Authorities on the Peninsula credit a Nextdoor website user for helping them nab a thief. San Mateo police say someone on Nextdoor was following a conversation between neighbors, which included home security footage of a car break-in. When police were tipped off to the footage on Monday, they identified the suspect from previous crimes. Officers soon located and arrested the suspect. They say he was also had stolen property from other cars.
