Oakland's Pacific Coast Brewery to Close

A popular East Bay brewery is closing its doors three decades after it first opened. The owners of the Pacific Coast Brewery in downtown Oakland said they will shut down in early November. It opened in 1988 as one of the Bay Area’s first craft brewing companies. The beer has won numerous awards. The brewery owners said they wanted to announce the closure now in order to give staff members time to find new jobs.
