Proposed San Jose State University Tuition Hike Triggers Protest

San Jose State students have not been taking a proposed tuition hike lightly. Students on Tuesday will participate in a protest scheduled for 12 p.m. at the Tommie Smith and John Carlos lawn. It’s the third protest this month. The proposed hike could raise tuition by five percent and would affect students across the entire California State University system. The CSU board of trustees will vote this Wednesday on the matter.
