A Bay Area college student has not been seen since Labor Day weekend, and while many fear the worst, his family and friends refuse to give up hope.
The reward to find a missing Lafayette man has been increased to $50,000.
Friends and family of Brett Olson have also launched a new website to find the 20-year-old Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student who went missing during an annual Labor Day tubing event on the Sacramento River.

Friends and family passed out thousands of posters throughout the Butte County area from Oroville to Chico.

Olson was last seen at about 4 p.m. Sunday in an area locals call Beer Can Beach just south of Chico.
Olson and two friends were taking part in the annual boisterous event dubbed the "Chico Float" which attracts about 10,000 participants each year.
