Robber Steals Meds From Concord Pharmacy at Gunpoint: Police

Police in Concord are searching for a man who they say broke into a pharmacy on Monday and demanded a prescription medication at gunpoint.

Police Cprl. Chris Blakely said the employee refused to give up the meds and actually disarmed the suspect during a struggle at the Oak Grove Pharmacy just before 1 p.m. A replica firearm left at the pharmacy was taken into evidence.

Even though the employee chased the suspect out of the store, Blakely said the suspect was able to get away with an unknown amount of drugs.

The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 30-40 years-old, last seen wearing a white T-shirt, short pants, and white tennis shoes. He was seen getting into a compact vehicle during his getaway.
