Sacred Heart Community Service Collecting Turkeys for Families

Tuesday, Nov. 19, marks the first day of the Sacred Heart Community Service’s Thanksgiving Food Box Distribution. Sacred Heart Community Service hopes to dish out boxes containing 50 pounds of food and turkey to 4,200 families, but the agency was short about 2,000 turkeys as of Sunday. People who want to donate a turkey can drop one off early this week at the agency’s donation drop located at 1st and Alma streets in San Jose. The donation spot will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. People wanting to help out can also go sacredheartcs.org/holidays to learn more.
