San Francisco Neighborhood Worries About Illegal Sky Lanterns

Three floating lanterns scared a San Francisco neighborhood when they landed on rooftops and grassy hillsides in Corona Heights Park. The city’s Fire Department says it’s illegal to use the lanterns in San Francisco, but not to buy them. In response, Rep. Jackie Speier said, “I guess I would say to our local law enforcement: Do we have to have a house burn down before you’re going to enforce the law?” Mark Matthews reports.
