San Jose ranks among the nation’s thinnest cities, according to new research from Gallup.
The city ranked No. 8 on the list of least obese cities, with 19.5 percent of adults considered obese.
San Diego was No. 6 on the list, and Boulder, Colo. ranked No. 1, having a 12.4 percent obesity rate.
The most-obese city was Huntington, W.Va., with a 39.5 percent obesity rate.
Researchers said the least obese cities have concentrations of wealthy Americans, while the most obese cities have concentrations of poor Americans.
