Bay Area Scientists Use New Technology to Learn More About Whales

Bay Area scientists are using new sensor technology to learn more about the unique feeding habits of whales. The video provided by Stanford University shows blue whales and humpbacks “lunge feeding.”Researchers say the process allows the mammals to engulf a volume of water and prey that is larger than their own body and its swallowed in seconds.
